Postgraduate Awareness Week at BU2 November 2009
Last week students and staff were involved in raising the awareness of BU’s range of full and part-time postgraduate courses. Information points were placed in Poole House and Weymouth House on the University’s Talbot Campus and Bournemouth House and the Executive Business Centre (EBC) on the Lansdowne Campus. BU offers a number of courses, including Postgraduate Diplomas and Masters degrees, in the following subject areas:
Speaking about Postgraduate Awareness Week, Victoria Bel Gil, Postgraduate Marketing Manager, said: “It was an extremely busy week with considerable interest from our students from all years of study. We gave away six boxes of prospectuses, which is testament to the amount of interest we received! “We offer a discount of 15% to all University alumni if they continue from undergraduate studies – a great incentive to study for a postgraduate qualification at BU. However, we also offer some great deals for those outside BU.” James Druce, a former MSc Tourism Management & Hospitality student, enjoyed his postgraduate experience at BU. “I chose to study a postgraduate course because I liked the opportunity of studying areas of my industry that really interested me, and that I wanted to develop for my career,” he said. “The course has given me the ability to enter areas of the tourism industry with highly valued new skills; which means I have an advantage over other job seekers, and will help secure my dream job.” Related Links:Return to News Archive page Return to News Menu page |
