The article – called In Today'’s World It Pays To Speak Up – states that the perks of linguistic study include career enhancement, health benefits and enriching society globally. In the article, Paul says that there is also a strong case for personal development and furthering the understanding of English itself. "Even at basic levels, learning how a language clicks together makes you much more aware of how your language works," he says.
