sportBU is the new name for BU’s sport activity aimed at students, staff and the local community.

BU is proud to be launching sportBU - a new identity for its sport and recreation activity.

Reflecting the value BU places on its students and the local community, the vision for sportBU is to provide positive experiences through sport, recreation and physical activity.

The new brand will better identify BU’s services and programmes with a stronger image to:

Ensure that sport and recreation is available for everyone regardless of athletic ability
Ensure BU’s Varsity Sports teams have a strong sense of belonging and pride in representing sportBU on a national level
Allow BU’s community activities to create a positive contribution to the health of the community
Increase the awareness of the breadth of services that sportBU offer to the public and take advantage of them.

The official launch will take place on Sunday 31 May at this year’s Volleyball England National Beach Student Cup. The event is being hosted by BU and takes place on Bournemouth beach from 30-31 May.
