Put your Art into the Arena27 March 2007
Arena – the Perfect Circle at Meyrick Park in Bournemouth is an evening extravaganza of fireworks, music, sculpture, artwork, performance and dance. The activity is led by Bournemouth Arts Council with Emergency Exit Arts (EEA) and involves several community organisations including the University and the Arts Institute at Bournemouth. PACE sees this as an ideal opportunity for staff and students to actively celebrate diversity on an exciting, high profile arts event. with other members of the local community. Ahead of this event, PACE is organising four creative workshops on the April 2 and 5, between 9.30am – 12.00pm or 1.00pm – 3.30pm (both days) to create specific artwork to be used in the main event. The workshops are open to people from all backgrounds, ages and levels of artistic skill. Adults and children are welcome to these workshops for a fun, messy and creative experience as we produce artwork for the whole of Bournemouth to see. All materials will be provided, as well as guidance from local artists. There will also be light refreshments. If you would like to join us on one of these workshops please contact Helen Travers on (01202) 961235 or email htravers@bournemouth.ac.uk. Places are free but must be reserved in advance.
