BU students in MediaCom poster

Town centre location for prize-winning poster after BU students win campaign planning pitch.

A group of final-year students from Bournemouth University (BU) feature in a poster campaign to promote the University's outstanding BA (Hons) in Advertising and Marketing Communications.

The students won the opportunity to appear on the poster after winning a campaign planning live pitch to Laterooms.com, one of the UK's leading online accommodation specialists.

Martin Davies, Hanna Pickard, Andrew Moore, Carmen Cheung and Elizabeth Harris presented their winning ideas to representatives from the company and their agency. The group's prize is an opportunity to star in a large poster advertisement that adorns a prominent bus shelter in the Lansdowne area of Bournemouth's town centre.

The poster congratulates the students for winning the pitch and offers the group as 'BU students working with industry for future success'.

The poster site, organised by MediaCom, is positioned alongside a busy commercial road not far from the University's Lansdowne Campus with the opportunity for thousands of viewings each day by local residents, business people, tourists and students alike.

Richard Scullion, Senior Lecturer and Course Tutor, says "not only do the students really look forward to getting involved in such life-like projects; they get a great deal out of the experience too. This year's winning team deserve this great prize as their work was exceptional given a tough brief from Laterooms.com."
