New marketing communications agency opens for business. |
A new communications agency, offering expertise in marketing, advertising and public relations has been launched at Bournemouth University (BU).
The Creative Enterprise Bureau (CEB) is a unique collaboration between students and academics at BU, and offers support and consultancy services to the local business community and beyond.
Bureau Manager, Liam Toms, himself a graduate from Bournemouth University's Media School, explains how students can offer a tailored consultancy approach to help solve some of the region's marketing issues, such as e-marketing, social media and digital PR.
"The Creative Enterprise Bureau offers local businesses a great opportunity to engage with the latest thinking in the world of communications. Our final year students are all experienced in working within the communications industry, each completing a professional placement as part of their degree course. Our academics are always carrying out research into the changing climate of the industry as well as being highly-regarded practitioners in these areas and that has a direct impact upon student teaching.
"As a result, we are consistently able to offer up-to-date skills and a strong sense of strategic direction. Examples of the ways we can help include conducting market research, writing press releases, designing advertisements and planning campaigns, both on and off-line," continues Liam.
BU lecturers and students have worked for some of the world's top agencies and brands. Recent clients of the CEB include Channel 4, Toyota and locally based company, NES Health. The CEB can offer a range of specialist support for advice and implementation in the private, public and not-for-profit sector.
