Graduates from BU Ley partner the Cartoon Network Animation Academy help finalise two new Cartoons.

Khadija Al Saidi, Nassma Al Bahrani and Alaa Magboul are three of the first graduates of the animation academy, which opened in 2010 as a collaboration between TwoFour54, the NCCA at BU, Turner Broadcast Systems and Inc.

The three animators were chosen out of 12 graduates to join the creative team at Cartoon Network Studios Arabia, the Abu Dhabi production for the TV channel are in the process of finalising the pilot episodes of the cartoon. If the first episodes are given the go ahead from company directors, the two series will be aired on the Cartoon Network’s Arabic-language network throughout the Middle East and North Africa.

The Cartoon Network currently broadcasts across 167 countries, in 22 different languages. Its previous in-house productions include the award-winning series Dexter's Laboratory.
