BU students collaborate in enterprise competition

A team of BU students have won 4th prize at the ‘Rise To’ enterprise challenge.

A team of students from a number of courses in the Media School at Bournemouth University joined forces to compete in the national enterprise competition ‘Rise To’, where they claimed 4th prize.

BU’s team comprised of students on BA (Hons) Digital Media Design, BA (Hons) Marketing Communications and BA (Hons) Public Relations. The students who made up the team were Joe Benton, Nikkita Potton, Dev Mistry, Stephanie King, Emily Mctavish and Laura Ballard.

In addition to the 4th place prize Joe Benton, a Digital Media Design student, picked up an individual award in reflection of the website development he contributed to the team’s work.

The team were mentored by our newest visiting fellow, Jonathan Clark from Bright Blue Day. Jonathan guided and advised the team over the course of their challenge, and he was there to see the students pick up their awards at the award ceremony in London, which took place on May 2.
