Dr Roman Gerodimos provides expert analysis on events in Greece to media outlets around the globe.

With the world media’s attention set firmly on Greece, Bournemouth University’s Dr Roman Gerodimos has been providing expert analysis of the events unfolding to media outlets around the globe. The Media School’s senior lecturer in Global Affairs not only grew up in Greece but has since spent his career researching, studying and teaching international politics and communications.

This unique expertise has seen Roman become the go-to expert for journalists around the world, giving interviews and analysis for media outlets from countries including France, Slovakia, Miami, Scotland and New Zealand.

As well as many interviews abroad Roman was also asked to write a commentary for the UK newspaper, The Independent.

Alongside this work, in his role as Convenor of the Greek Politics Specialist Group (GPSG) Roman is also currently organising the international conference: The Politics of Extreme Austerity: Greece Beyond the Crisis, with the GPSG working in collaboration with the University of Strathclyde. The conference will take place in Glasgow 8-9 December 2011.
