A group of final-year students from Bournemouth University (BU) are at the centre of a poster campaign to promote the University's Media School. |
The six students, who are just completing their BA (Hons) in Advertising & Marketing Communications, won the opportunity to appear on the poster after winning a campaign planning live pitch to e.on, one of the UK's leading energy suppliers.
Laura Holmes, David Ellis, Phillipa Denman, Lauren Coombs, Lisa Spriggs and Vicki Gore presented their winning ideas to representatives from the company and their agency. Their prize is an opportunity to star in a large poster advertisement that adorns a prominent bus shelter in Winton, Bournemouth and on the Lansdowne in Bournemouth town centre.
The poster congratulates the students for winning the pitch and offers the group as 'six good reasons to study Advertising & Marketing Communications at BU'.
The poster site, organised by Mediacomm, was positioned alongside a busy commercial road not far from the University's Talbot Campus with the opportunity for thousands of viewings each day by local residents and students alike for the first week and then positioned on the Lansdowne campus in the town centre for the following week.
Richard Scullion the tutor on this course says 'Not only do the students really look forward to getting involved in such life-like projects; they get a great deal out of the experience too. This year's winning team deserve this great prize as their work was exceptional given a tough brief from e.on'.
