Paul Cheetham A skeleton in the closet?

This week, listeners to the Radio 4's classic agro-soap The Archers will be aware that Eddie Grundy made the potentially gruesome discovery of human remains while using a mechanical digger to excavating for a new picnic area in Millennium Woods. Paul Cheetham, Senior lecturer in Archaeological Science and a practicing forensic archaeologist, was consulted by writers regarding how the discovery of a skeleton would be dealt with by police and forensic archaeologists, how it might be shown to be of only archaeological interest, and how it would subsequently be excavated.

You can catch up it all in the omnibus edition on Sunday or with this week's individual episodes at Link
