BA (Hons) Multi-Media Journalism (BAMMJ) has been re-accredited by both the Periodicals Training Council and the Broadcast Journalism Training Council.

The PTC panel consisting of David Bostock of EMAP Consumer Media, Nick Merritt, Group Editor of Future Publications, and PTC Chair Lorraine Davies, praised BAMMJ's industry-standard facilities; its enthusiastic, bright and engaged students; the professional, knowledgeable and committed course team; the accessibility and supportiveness of staff; the currency and relevance of the curriculum; and the well-structured course, which provided "the skills that employers want".

The BJTC panel consisting of former BBC Centre Head Nigel Kaye and council member Steve Harris, re-accredited BAMMJ for a further three years without condition or qualification.

"Maintaining these accreditations for over a decade demonstrates BA (Hons) Multi-Media Journalism's outstanding professional relevance at a time when employability is increasingly important to Higher Education"

After the unconditional re-accreditation of BAMMJ by the National Council for the Training of Journalists in March 2006, the latest re-accreditations mean that BAMMJ has held full accreditation from the three leading journalism training  bodies without interruption for over a decade, a record unequalled by any other journalism course in the UK .

Head of Journalism and Communication  David Bradshaw said: "Maintaining these accreditations for over a decade demonstrates BA (Hons) Multi-Media Journalism's outstanding professional relevance at a time when employability is increasingly important to Higher Education. It is also a tribute to the members of course team who have made sure that BAMMJ has evolved in line with major changes in the profession, notably the growth of online journalism and the convergence of once-distinct methods of delivery."

BAMMJ was launched in October 1992 and is widely recognised by journalism employers as one of the top journalism courses in the UK.
