CIM Re-accredit Marketing & PR Degrees
Confirming BUs outstanding reputation

The leading international body for marketing and business development, the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), has reaccredited our marketing and public relations courses.

On a recent visit to BU the CIMs Peter Eales stated We are always pleased to visit BU. The strength of the Marketing and PR here at BU is exceptional. It is always very clear when the CIM visit BU, just how much they invest into their courses and students, as well as the credibility it has within industry. BU is certainly THE place to study PR and Marketing."

Accreditation means our students gain significant exemptions from the CIM Professional Marketing Qualifications.

BA(Hons) Advertising and Marketing graduates, BA(Hons) Marketing/International Marketing graduates (who take the interactive media strategies option) and MA Marketing Communications graduates are given exemption to all levels up to, but not including the Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing.

BA(Hons) Public Relations, BA(Hons) Marketing/International Marketing graduates (who have not taken the interactive media strategies option) and MA Public Relations Practice graduates are given exemption to all levels up to, but not including, the Professional Diploma in Marketing.

Head of Corporate and Marketing Communications, Kathy Cutts, said: "The accreditation is a tremendous accolade for our marketing and PR courses, which succeed in combining the professional competences and understandings that the communications industry wants, with the academic rigour expected of a degree programme."

BA (Hons) Public Relations and MA Public Relations Practice also have accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).
