A Dialogue with Professor Craig Mahoney
Professor Craig Mahoney, Chief Executive of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) will be the next guest speaker in the Bournemouth University Higher Education Policy Lecture Series on Monday, 13 June. In his address, entitled ‘All around the world: Lessons for the UK on teaching excellence’, Professor Mahoney will look at how excellence in higher education teaching is tackled by other countries, and what the UK can learn from them. He will put this into the context of the HEA’s own mission to enhance teaching excellence, and discuss his future plans for the organisation, and how it will adapt to the changing needs of the sector. The HEA’s role is to support institutions in delivering the best possible learning experience for all students. A major part of its role is to provide recognition for HE staff through its Professional Recognition Scheme and the National Teaching Fellowship Scheme.
