The School of Applied Sciences at BU will host a series of Research Seminars running through into March 2011 which features leading speakers in a range of subjects.

Jim Rose - Evaluating the Evidence for the Earliest Humans in Northern Europe
Jim is Professor of Physical Geography at Royal Holloway and is one of the foremost Quaternary Scientists in Britain.

Adrian Lister - The Extinction of Ice-Age Megafauna: Recent Results
Adrian is a Merit Researcher at the Natural History Museum and a world-renowned expert on Megafaunal extinctions.

Jonathan Shaw - The Fish Files: Tales from a Former Fisheries Minister
Jonathan was Fisheries Minister at DEFRA during the last Labour administration. His talk will focus on the competing demands of science, the industry and those endless rounds of EU quota negotiations.
