BU event reveals recession survival
Experts from the Business School will be hosting a free seminar aimed at financial services companies, showing them how to manage their tight marketing budgets more effectively during a recession.
‘Marketing in a Recession: How can financial services companies get the best from their marketing?’ will be held on Wednesday 24 September. It will see academic experts with real world experience share their latest research into marketing in this difficult economic climate.
Sponsored by the Economic & Social Research Council (ESRC), the event will provide practical advice, break-out sessions to discuss bespoke solutions for delegates’ individual businesses, and will conclude with an ‘ask the experts’ panel.
The panel includes Dr Julie Robson and Dr Yasmin Sekhon, who bring a wealth of experience from the financial services industry, joined by key members of staff from each of the School’s academic areas; management, finance and law – enabling a unique, multi-disciplinary perspective.
Dr Julie Robson, Associate Dean at the Business School and President of Bournemouth’s Chartered Insurance Institute said: “Consumers change the way they buy during a recession.
“Businesses need to take account of these changes and adapt their marketing plan accordingly if they are to get the very best from their marketing budget.”
The event takes place from 4.30 to 7.30pm, at Bournemouth House, Christchurch Road, Bournemouth. Senior managers in small to medium-sized organisations and marketing professionals in large financial services organisations are invited to register for their free place now.
A high level of demand is expected for this event and places are limited. To avoid disappointment book your place early.
