BU welcomes the Bournemouth Symphony Brass
Bournemouth University will host to a special evening with the Bournemouth Symphony Brass on Wednesday, 18 May. The concert is scheduled for the University’s recently-completed, state-of-the-art Kimmeridge House Lecture Theatre and will feature an entertaining programme of music for Brass Quintet from Greensleeves to Gershwin. The BU Big Band will also be playing during the evening. The event offers an excellent opportunity for BU to host the Bournemouth Symphony Brass, and will reinforce the professional relationship between the Orchestra and University. The new Kimmeridge House Lecture Theatre on the University’s Talbot Campus opened in January 2011 as part of a £3.8m redesign. The complex has established Bournemouth University as the first UK institution to house a unique acoustic reverberation system. The system provides a revolutionary digitally-processed audio environment to allow live acoustics to be varied in ‘real time’. The hall incorporates 76 speakers, ensuring that the system delivers the best audio reproduction on every occasion. When and where: Return to news archive page Return to news menu page |
