Thinking about mental health

Picture of a keyhole in a man's head Members of the public are invited to attend the inaugural lecture being delivered by clinical psychologist and BU Visiting Professor John Hall.

BU’s new Visiting Professor John Hall will deliver his inaugural lecture, “Thinking about mental health – past, present and future”, at BU on Thursday 14 January 2010, 4pm.

John Hall is a clinical psychologist and is Professor of Mental Health at Oxford Brookes University. He has recently joined BU’s School of Design, Engineering & Computing as its new Visiting Professor.

Involved in the development of mental health services for many years, Professor Hall is well known for his research in psychiatric rehabilitation and his understanding of the history and nature of clinical psychology.

When: Thursday 14 January 2010; 4.00 pm (lecture); 5.00 pm (cold buffet/tea/coffee)
