BU had an impressive showing at the 2nd annual Eventice competition, with four of the twelve finalists selected to compete in this year’s final coming from BU’s BA (Hons) Events Management course.

Alex Ainsworth, Rosie Hammond, Joanna Vincent and Hannah Parsons were the BU students competing for two Events industry jobs for final year Events Management students. The jobs up for grabs included a role with global experiential marketing agency George P Johnson, and a sales position with Exhibition company Tarsus Group.

After going through two days of Apprentice like tasks, five finalists were chosen for a final day to compete for the two industry posts. Alex Ainsworth made it through to the final stages of the competition the Tarsus Group post, although unfortunately lost out on the prize.

Anecdotal information from judges and recruitment involved noted the commendable accomplishment of BU for producing four of the twelve finalists selected.

Dr. Mary Beth Gouthro, the Programme Leader in BA (Hons) Events Management at BU, said “we are very proud to have four finalists selected from BAEM and we are also very proud of Alex’s overall performance, as with the other three BU candidates in the final competition.”
