The International Association for Tourism Economics (IATE) has announced the call for papers for its third biennial conference, which will be hosted by Bournemouth University.
The event is the leading international conference of its kind in the world on tourism economics and takes place from 4 to 7 July 2011.
BU's School of Tourism is a global leader in tourism research and is home to two of the worlds top 10 tourism journals as well as the International Centre for Tourism & Hospitality Research (ICTHR), placing the School at the cutting-edge of research in its field.
For the conference, researchers, scholars and practitioners are invited to submit papers that address applied issues in the field of tourism economics using rigorous techniques of analysis, as well as papers that make methodological or theoretical contributions in this area.
The process of selection will be based on scientific quality and relevance for economic and management policy. In particular, papers related to the following fields are particularly welcome:
