Rethinking Cultural Heritage: Challenges and Dilemmas

Malta Call for Papers  

The students’ conference is being organised by the Institute of Conservation and Management of Cultural Heritage (ICMCH), Heritage Malta, in partnership with the University of Malta and Bournemouth University. The conference will be held on Monday 15th September 2008 at the St Angelo Hall, in the Malta Maritime Museum in Vittoriosa, Malta.

Graduates and post-graduate students are invited to present their research in cultural heritage related disciplines, with a focus on heritage sites. The study of Cultural Heritage is approached through various disciplines. These include Archaeology, Architecture, Conservation, History of Art, Cultural Geography, as well as Cultural Heritage Management, Urban planning, Geoarchaeology, and Documentation, amongst others. Scientific areas, such as Chemistry and Biology, are also contributing to the management of cultural heritage sites.
