The Stonehenge Riverside Project 2006

The Stonehenge Riverside Project is a large scale collaborative project that is jointly directed by Bournemouth, Bristol, Manchester and Sheffield Universities, and University College London. Bournemouth University is represented by Dr Kate Welham.

Visitors are welcome to come along and see what's happening for themselves between 10am and 4pm (except Fridays and Saturday 2nd September). Better still, there are special open days between 10 and 4 on Sat 26th, Sun 27th and Mon 28th August along with Sat 9th and Sun 10th September. You'll be able to see how the people who built these amazing monuments lived and worked. There's even going to be an appearance from Time Team's Phil Harding on the afternoons of the 9th and 10th of September.

Funding has been provided by a number of bodies including: the the Arts and Humanities Research Council, National Geographic, the Prehistoric Society, the British Academy, the Royal Archaeological Institute, the McDonald Institute and English Heritage.
