The Stonehenge Riverside Project is a large scale collaborative project that is jointly directed by Bournemouth, Bristol, Manchester and Sheffield Universities, and University College London. Bournemouth University is once again represented by Dr Kate Welham and Data Manager Mark Dover along with around ten to fifteen second year students.

The project will run from the 18th of August through to the 12th of September and there'll also be open days on the 6th and 7th of September, between 10am and 4pm, where members of the public are encouraged to come along and see the digging for themselves.

Funding has been provided by a number of bodies including: the the Arts and Humanities Research Council, National Geographic, the Prehistoric Society, the British Academy, the Royal Archaeological Institute, the McDonald Institute and English Heritage.
