BU Celebrates Fairtrade Fortnight

22 February 2007

Fairtrade worker We'll be marking Fairtrade Fortnight with a range of events to raise awareness and engage the community.

Achieved in 2006, BU's status as a Fairtrade University confirms our commitment to promote the consumption of Fairtrade products.

All shops, cafés and refectories on both of our campuses now sell a wider selection of Fairtrade products, and Fairtrade tea, coffee and sugar are now served at internal meetings.

For us, achieving Fairtrade Status is part of a University-wide strategy to ensure that students, graduates and staff develop as ‘global citizens'.
