The website also features the Chairman of the Board and the Vice-Chancellor ‘in conversation’, discussing the highlights of the year and the challenges facing higher education.

The ten reasons to be proud featured in the online Review include:

  • Opening of our multi-million pound Executive Business Centre as part of our Business School and the series of high-profile events to ensure its role as a central hub in the region
  • Maintaining our ‘Number One New University’ position in ‘The Guardian’ league table

Reflecting on the year Professor Curran said: “2009 was a great year for BU. Our Annual Review, which takes an innovative, interactive approach, is a chance for us all to share our feelings of pride about BU and reflect on how far we have travelled.”
