Question Time on Campus

David Dimbleby Question Time Returns to BU
Bournemouth University hosted the BBC current affairs television programme Question Time on Thursday, 5 October 2006

The visit marked the fourth time that BU has hosted presenter David Dimbleby and Co as the Question Time production unit transformed the Sports Hall on the Talbot Campus into a working TV studio.

Question Time was pre-recorded during the evening in front of an audience of 150 people representing a cross-section of society. The programme was then broadcast later the same evening in an 'as live' format.

Panellists for the programme included Ian Hislop - journalist and broadcaster, Sandra Howard - novelist and wife of the former Conservative Party Leader, Hazel Blears - MP for Salford and current Chair of the Labour Party, Baroness Williams of Crosby - one of the "Gang of Four" who formed the Social Democratic Party in 1981 and Oliver Letwin - MP for West Dorset and current Chair of the Conservative Party's Policy Review.

Questions from the audience focussed on issues ranging from immigration and the ‘David Cameron’ effect on the UK electorate to the possible nuclear threat posed by North Korea and the antics of MP, Boris Johnson.
