Making Waves Full paper and presentation guidelines

Thank you to all who have submitted abstracts! Abstracts have now been reviewed by the scientific committee and authors notified by email. All accepted abstracts will be presented on Making Waves website closer to the conference and will be available for download.


RE-SUBMITTING ABSTRACTS


If you have been asked to re-submit your abstract please follow the guidelines below as well as the recommendations written on the review form sent to your email while re-submitting your abstracts:

  • Contact details of authors and co-authors (postal address, email, telephone, fax numbers) in a separate first page
  • Presentation title and abstract in the second (& third) page
  • Abstracts should be between 400-500 words (excluding references, which should follow Harvard style)
  • Font size: Arial 11; Line space: 1.5; and Justified

Authors of outstanding papers will be invited to submit to a special edition of the International Journal of Hospitality and Event Management and the International Journal of Event and Festival Management

PRESENTATIONS


Participants of accepted abstracts are invited to make a presentation. At the moment, this being comprised of a 15 minute formal presentation and 5 minutes for a question and answer discussion with the audience.

All paper presentation sessions will be chaired. Presenters will be able to email their PowerPoint presentations in advance to the conference organising committee, in which case the presentation will already be loaded prior to the conference on the computer in the room in which they are presenting. They may also bring their presentation on a USB stick, in which case they should arrive at their room at least 15 minutes in advance of their session start time.


E-POSTER PRESENTATIONS


If your abstract has been accepted for an e-poster presentation please follow the guidelines below. We are still accepting submissions for e-poster proposals until 17 May 2013.

  • 1 slide/page summary of your research to be presented on digital screens at the conference
  • Publisher format
  • Slide must contain name of authors (co-authors) and presentation title
  • References should follow Harvard style
  • Submit e-posters to ICE2013@bournemouth.ac.uk

Please submit your e-poster by 17 May 2013 to ICE2013@bournemouth.ac.uk
