Travel & Accommodation Information

The conference will take place at the University’s Talbot Campus. A shuttle bus will run from Bournemouth town centre to the campus in the morning, and back to the town centre at the end of each day. Delegates will be emailed at a later stage with the information about the hotels that are near to the shuttle bus pick-up and drop-off points.

You are free to choose other accommodation (list of websites below), in which case you should choose to stay in Bournemouth town centre if you want to use the arranged shuttle service. It is recommended that you book as soon as possible, as Bournemouth is a very busy holiday destination.

The nearest train station to the University is Bournemouth. The journey by fast train from London Waterloo takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. There are also regular trains from the UK’s other major cities. Bournemouth Airport is 8km from Bournemouth town centre, with bus and taxis available at the airport. Other airports in the UK are well connected to Bournemouth by bus and rail. These are Southampton Airport (45km), London Gatwick (127km), London Heathrow (130km), London Luton Airport (166km), and London Stansted Airport (235km). The journey by bus from London Heathrow Airport to Bournemouth takes approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes.
