2009 IARSS visits the seasidePlease note that this event has now passed. We are pleased to announce that the annual Iron Age Research Student Seminar (IARSS) will be held at Bournemouth University on the 28th-29th May 2009. The Iron Age Research Student Seminar is an ideal environment for post-graduate students to deliver papers on their research, be it in the early or later stages. The seminar provides a well structured, informal and nourishing environment where people can not only discuss their own research ideas but also gain a broader understanding of Iron Age research trends. The seminar discussions have proven to be consistently very fruitful and useful for all concerned, involving people from different backgrounds with a variety of research interests within this field. Post-graduate students are encouraged to present and explore new ideas, ranging from the Late Bronze Age, Iron Age, to the early 1st century A.D. within Britain, Ireland and north-west Europe. For those attending the conference, there will also be the opportunity to volunteer as hosts for future conferences. Papers will be presented over a two-day period and should be 15-20 minutes in length, which will be followed by questions and brief discussion. A more in-depth discussion of papers will take place after each session. |
