As part of induction week, we took the newly arrived masters students on a day trip to Beaulieu, a local tourist attraction. The trip helped bonding between staff and students and amongst students themselves, promoting intercultural contact. It also prompted students to start thinking about their studies and the relationship between theory and practice. To top off the day, a lecture was given by the Marketing Manager of Beaulieu, who is a graduate of BU, on the role of Beaulieu as a leading UK venue for events.
