Richard Shipway, lecturer in Sport Studies in the Centre for Event and Sport Research (CESR) and John Brackstone, Project Manager in The Market Research Group, have both recently been awarded prestigious Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Travelling Fellowships. Richards is to lead an Olympic-related project in Sydney, Australia, entitled ‘Using the Power of Olympic Sport in Education’ and John will visit Australia and New Zealand to look at the way they research and interpret tourism within academic, government and commercial organisations.
