A league table published in the Guardian on May 21 has ranked Bournemouth University’s general engineering course at number 3 in the country.

The article praises BU for improving the course and jumping from fourteenth place last year, to third this year.

Dr Tania Humphries-Smith, Associate Dean for Design and Engineering at BU commented “we’ve put more focus on students becoming more aware of their employability.”

She continues “making theoretical knowledge directly applicable to real-life problems is a good motivator for students and helps them to understand what potential employers might be looking for.”

The positive news is another great achievement for BU following The Sunday Times naming Bournemouth engineering graduates as the second highest earners in the UK.
