New Deputy Vice-Chancellor looks forward to furthering BU's reputation for high quality academic provision. |
Professor McIntyre-Bhatty arrives at BU from the University of Wales, Newport where he has been Assistant Vice-Chancellor and Dean of Newport Business School.
During his career Professor McIntyre-Bhatty has contributed to the leadership and development of a range of knowledge transfer, consultancy, and income generation projects. He has also been closely engaged in research concerning the match of graduate skills and employer needs in regional labour markets and is committed to a multidisciplinary approach to higher education. His track record extends to successful collaborations at both national and international levels with partners across Europe and in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
At Newport, Professor McIntyre-Bhatty has played a leading role in the creation of the new £41m flagship City Campus and led professional engagement and student experience projects both within the School and across the university.

With a background in economics, financial markets and neural network modelling, Professor McIntyre-Bhatty completed his PhD in Neural Network Modelling Evaluation and End-User Orientation in the Financial Markets from the University of Bristol in 1997. He has previously worked at the University of Gloucestershire, University of East London, and the University of of Northampton and has held non-Executive Director posts for South Wales Chamber and for the Strategic Planning Society.
