One of BU’s Pro-Vice-Chancellors has been appointed to a new post within the University. |
Professor John Vinney, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Resources) at Bournemouth University (BU), has been appointed as Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education & Professional Practice) at BU.
He will succeed Dr Brian Astin who retires as Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) at the end of July.
Professor Vinney joined BU as Dean of the School of Design, Engineering and Computing from the University of the West of England where he had progressed from Lecturer to Dean of Computing, Engineering and Mathematical Sciences.
He has a passionate commitment to both high quality higher education and to BU, having started his academic career as a student at the Dorset Institute of Higher Education, the predecessor to BU.
