Three of our rising golf talents are in contention for the inaugural BUSA National Strokeplay title after qualifying for the end of season event. |
Kevin Garwood, Richard Raye and Daniel Smith will join the field at the De Vere Slaley Hall in Northumbria from 13-15 June.
The trio easily made the final following their performances in the four regional qualifying events.
Garwood’s consistency in the Southeast and Midlands – where he gained back-to-back six place finishes – were enough to see him through as the 10th highest qualifier.
Raye, in 12th position overall, turned in a sterling performance to share the title in the penultimate event at the Western Regional, hosted by BU, at Saunton Sands in Devon.
Smith’s fifth place showing in the Northern regional gave the zero handicapper a place in the final as 18th highest qualifier.
