The hard work of this year’s student volunteers has paid off, with Nerve* Magazine scooping an award for ‘Best Publication’. |
The award was handed out at this year’s National Students’ Union Marketing Conference held at Warwick University.
Nerve* saw off competition from publications from universities throughout the UK.
Encouraged by this recent accolade, the Nerve* team hopes to grab further accolades at the upcoming Guardian Media Awards in November for the ‘Best Magazine’ and ‘Best Design’ – two categories which Nerve* featured amongst the short-listed nominations last year.
“We hope that this year, with a stronger focus on local interest, much greater involvement from student artists and illustrators, and even more talented writers - as well as a squeaky clean eco-friendly image - Nerve* Magazine and its talented BU student contributors will receive further recognition on the national stage,” says Graham Brooks, the publication’s editor.
The most recent issue of the magazine, themed on the environment, is available on campus, as well as selected local businesses in the Bournemouth area.
