Warren, who is studying on the part-time BA (Hons) in Business and Management, earned the opportunity after taking the Mr England crown last May.
The Mr World final is scheduled for 31 March.
Warren’s three-week adventure revolves around Sanya, the tropical gateway to China.
He faces 80 other national titleholders who will be tested on their character, determination and masculinity.
Warren and his fellow competitiors must complete an Iron Man challenge, performing a series of physical tests including Kung Fu, press-ups, sit-ups and other taxing activities.
Warren has always aspired to be a fitness model and with recent success has his sights on achieving higher standards in modelling and bodybuilding competitions.
He enjoys basketball and weight training and won a host of prizes including the trip to China after becoming Mr England.
“I was really gobsmacked when I won,” said Warren at the time. “It’s such a new experience.”
The first ever Mr World, which is operated by the huge Miss World organisation, first took place in Turkey in 1996.
The event will be televised across the globe, with an estimated audience of over 1 billion in over 1 hundred countries.
In 2005, BU Sports Development and Coaching graduate, Melanie Chipolina, represented Gibraltar at the Miss World pageant, also held in China.
