Southampton based software company TSG South Ltd predicts a £300k increase in sales following a successful Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with Bournemouth University. |
TSG South - previously known as Accounting Answers - provides Accounting and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions for small and medium sized companies.
The company currently sells a suite of financial and management software solutions for membership/subscription based organisations.
Working with BU’s School of Design, Engineering and Computing, TSG South sought to develop a new on-line product to attract business from the thousands of UK Trade Associations and Professional Membership organisations across the country.
The Company has now employed a recent BU graduate to both implement the new product and transfer the specialist knowledge within TSG to ensure that the benefits of this successful KTP are fully embedded within the Company.
KTP is Europe's leading programme helping businesses to improve their competitiveness and productivity through the better use of knowledge, technology and skills that reside within the UK knowledge base.
For local businesses to be able to access world class experts on their doorstep is a major opportunity explains Dr Martyn Polkinghorne, KTP Centre manager at BU.
“Bournemouth University works with many Companies to help them grow and prosper,” says Dr Polkinghorne.
“We have experts in many fields and KTPs are just one of several ways that local businesses can benefit from these experts.”
