BU celebrates the achievements of its newest graduates during 2006 Autumn Awards Ceremonies |
Bournemouth University will celebrate the achievements of its newest graduates during three days of Autumn Awards Ceremonies from Wednesday 8 November to Friday 10 November at the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC).
Over 3,100 graduates from across all of the University’s academic centres and representing the UK and every continent from around the world are eligible to receive degrees, diplomas and professional qualifications over six ceremonies.
This is the 21st consecutive year that Bournemouth University will hold its Autumn graduation festivities at the BIC. The three days of festivities are expected to draw 14,000 friends, family and other well-wishers to the town.
'Bournemouth University congratulates all of this year’s graduates,' says BU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Paul Curran. 'This is a very special occasion for the graduates and their families and friends. We look forward to welcoming them to the BIC and sharing in the celebrations.'
Amongst those celebrating are the University's first ever ‘virtual’ graduates who have completed a ground-breaking Foundation Degree in Business and Management entirely via the internet.
The University is also celebrating the careers and contributions of five distinguished guests who will receive Honorary Doctorates across the three days.
