MA Digital Effects students have updated their YouTube channel with their first term project, 'Dry for Wet'.

The students worked on converting an above water location into underwater using digital effects. "We have placed more emphasis this year on the integration of acquisition footage - bubbles, water particles, etc - into the final results", said Programme Leader, Philip Spicer. "These projects represent about 10 weeks work for our students with many of them coming to digital effects and computer graphics for the first time".

The projects were created using industry software packages, Shake and Houdini. Houdini's software community last year praised two of its students for creating 'some of the best student work they have seen'.

The 'Dry for Wet' projects can be viewed on the programme's YouTube channel: http://uk.youtube.com/user/NCCADigitalFX

MA Digital Effects is delivered by the National Centre for Computer Animation, rated 1st in the UK by 3D World Magazine.
