BU and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) are proud to re-launch the new and improved CIM Chartered Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing, formally known as the CIM Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing.

The course is delivered on a part-time basis and is designed for professional marketers who currently work at a strategic level and wish to gain a professional Masters level qualification whilst continuing to work.

Students on this course will develop the skills and knowledge to transcend into strategic marketing management, work cross-functionally at a senior marketing level and demonstrate a high level of leadership and influence. Students can choose to complete the degree in one or two years, allowing flexibility that enables individuals to juggle work commitments and study commitments

Graham Goode is a lecturer on the course at BU and a member of the CIM. He has an MBA and 25 years of international marketing experience:

“This flagship CIM qualification is designed for individuals in a senior marketing position, or those aspiring to hold one. Its aim is to develop the strategic marketing competences, skills and abilities needed to operate at this level. If you are looking to further your professional and personal development, this is an excellent route to consider.

The Chartered Postgraduate Diploma is a new course, containing a substantially updated syllabus for today's senior marketer. So, it provides a learning opportunity around the latest developments in marketing and reflects those issues and challenges, which marketers are facing today or likely to encounter in the near future."

BU have worked in conjunction with local companies and organisations to help create the marketers of the future, with companies such as LV=, P&O, the NHS, the RNLI and the Ordinance Survey all sending their employees to BU to undertake the CIM’s postgraduate degree. Employees use their companies as models within units of their course which includes strategic marketing audits and evaluation of current marketing tools.

This course is delivered by the Media School at BU which is not only an accredited study centre by the CIM but is also a Centre for Excellence in Media Practice.
