Mark James with Dave Parham (BSc Marine Archaeology Programme Leader) and fellow students from his degree |
This week’s Countryfile programme saw Matt Baker head off to the New Forest to discover more about the New Forest Coastal Heritage Project. Matt was shown around by Mark James, a recent graduate of the BSc Marine Archaeology degree programme. After his studies Mark started work with the Hampshire and Wight Trust for Maritime Archaeology and he is now the Maritime Archaeologist for the New Forest National Park. Mark credits his degree at Bournemouth with giving him the depth of understanding of the marine environment that is key to his new management role in the Forest.
