Explore Stonehenge by doing a BSc in Archaeology |
Last Friday, in Christchurch, the Dorset Archaeological Committee held its awards Ceremony. The programme (PDF 273.13kb) gives details of the various nominees.
In the event, the panel of judges gave the award to Dan Carter who graduated from Bournemouth University in November 2008 with a BSc (Hons) Archaeology, First Class. Dan was nominated on the strength of his fieldwork and dissertation which examined the potential for better understanding of the layout and component buildings of a Verwood Kiln site at Horton, Dorset. His work is held in high regard by members of DAC and Dan is a great ambassador for the Archaeology programmes that we offer.
Trevor Steptoe, also an ex- Bournemouth student but perhaps better known for his recent services to the Council for British Archaeology, was the winner of the Ian Horsey Memorial Prize.
