The New Professionals Conference

A gathering and presentation of current research and thinking from Museum Studies masters students.

Are you a museum masters student? Want to meet other masters students, present a conference paper, attend the Museums Association conference, start your professional networking? Then please join us for the first ever conference specifically for museum masters students to be held here at Bournemouth University and hosted by the Bournemouth Natural Science Society.

The New Professionals Conference will provide a:

Platform for Museum Studies students to present their research

Networking opportunity for Museum Studies Students including 'Speed-dating' get to know you introductory session

A chance to present an academic paper in a conference setting and receive feedback

Blue-sky think tank end of conference round-up

New network for tomorrow's museum team

The New Professionals Conference: Call for papers from Museums Masters students What's hot and what's not in the world of the 21st century museum? Are you a museum masters student, recently graduated or still studying? Have you or are you completing your dissertation research, perhaps you have just finished an amazing placement project or are already working in a museum on an innovative programme, event or new venture? You are invited to present a paper on your research or work at The New Professionals Conference, Bournemouth, 24th October 2006.
