Kate Armstrong, one of Conservation Sciences bursary postgraduate researchers, has won the poster prize at the Environmental and Industrial Geophysics Group Postgraduate Symposium.
The poster presented her intriguing geophysical survey results from the Somerset Levels, including magnetometry which seems to be detecting the line of prehistoric wooden Sweet Track in peat, and according to lecturer Paul Cheetham "Is not what one would predict!".
More of her work on wetland site geophysics is scheduled to be presented at the EIGG 'Recent Work in Archaeological Geophysics' London meeting in December.
