Student discusses her options Bournemouth University invited businesses along to a Careers Forum to engage with students about their future post–university.

BU's School of Tourism hosted the event and students were encouraged to attend industry–relevant talks and explore stands exhibited by businesses including The Hilton Group and Thomas Cook.

The event, in its second year, was an opportunity for students to hear from industry experts with real–world experience and included tips on getting your first job, and how to get ahead in a big business.

The event even concluded with a 'Dress for Success' fashion show – where students were given tips on how you should present yourself during work.

Andrew Boer, Associate Dean in the Hospitality and Retail Academic Group said, "I am delighted to see many influential employers come down to this event. These events are really important on the basis that our students actually demonstrate how professional they can be, not just in the clothes they wear, but through the way in which they communicate with and engage with employers, and it is vital that they have face to face contact in this sort of environment."
