SUBU SUBU’s green team win Green Impact award.

The Student’s Union at BU have won a Silver Green Impact award for their work in making BU a greener place.

Working closely with the environmental team at BU to raise awareness and implement a greener office environment SUBU have made small changes, including using recycled paper and battery recycling bins to make a big difference.

SUBU’s green team have also helped towards bigger projects such as the clean- up work in Meyrick Park, and helping to organise green weeks within BU.

In total SUBU received 514 green points, just 16 below what was needed to achieve gold, making that the goal for next year.

If any staff or students have any ideas to make BU greener SUBU are always open to suggestion.
