Pull Together BU student dedicates Olympic film to the memory of ‘a great flatmate’.

Pull Together, a short film by Chris Butler, a final year TV Production student will be shown at the Olympic venues during the Summer Games.

The film beat off over 400 entries and was one of three nominations as part of the London 2012 festival at BFI Southbank on 4 July 2012.

Dedicated to the memory of Thomas Perrin, a BU student who was tragically killed in a car crash at the beginning of 2012, Pull Together is a fictional film which follows the Bournemouth University rowing team whilst training for their biggest race of the year. During training they lose one of their teammates, and it takes all of their strength and courage to ‘pull together’ to win the race in his memory.

Chris submitted his film with the Olympic themes of inspiration, courage, determination and teamwork. He said it was a ‘fitting memory to a great flatmate and friend’.
