Bournemouth University’s Digital Hub is hosting a free daytime interactive event with digital strategist and former head of social media for the UK Government Tiffany St James on Tuesday 19 July.

The event, which will run from 9am to 3.30pm at Kimmeridge House, Talbot Campus, aims to showcase the skills and expertise available through the Digital Hub consultancy.

The Hub has been created as a central source for knowledge in the latest digital concepts relevant to business, allowing organisations regionally, nationally and globally to benefit from the University’s expertise in the world of creative and digital technologies.

The day has been developed to enable businesses with digital challenges to openly seek help and advice. Specialist areas such as cloud computing, GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and eye tracking will be explained.

Tiffany St James, a graduate of BU, is a social technologist, digital strategist, trainer and international speaker who advises government and industry and will be sharing her expertise with guests at the event.

Dr Philip Alford, lead of the Digital Hub team said: “We are excited that Tiffany has agreed to share with us her vast experience. For many years she has aligned corporate objectives, people skills and evolving technology to embed practical digital strategy for change and growth. She will give businesses a real taste of what they should be implementing and cut through a lot of the potential confusion.”

Attendance to the Digital Day is free and open to all businesses. To register interest or find out more information on the Digital Hub overall, click here or email thedigitalhub@bournemouth.ac.uk. Alternatively call the team on 01202 963027. You can also follow the Digital Hub on Twitter.
