Ms Zhu met with Professor John Vinney, BU’s new Vice-Chancellor, as well as Chinese students and scholars. She also visited the National Centre for Computer Animation (NCCA) in the Media School and toured the new DNA laboratory in the School of Applied Sciences.

In discussion with Dannielle Elster, Head of International Marketing & Student Recruitment at BU, Mrs Zhu mentioned that following her first visit to the University, she thoroughly enjoyed the meeting with the Chinese students and looking around the campus.  She left with a very positive impression and will ensure that the Embassy has a better understanding of the courses offered at BU and the high level of support that Chinese students receive.

As a result of the visit, discussions are now taking place to reconstitute a Chinese Students’ Association at BU which will have close links with the Embassy.
